The offroad version doesnt seem as bad except for the taillights look horrible and ricey..

and whats with this 4x4 tailgate ...

for all the guys that said toyota was ridiculous for its tailgate, they need to re-evaluate there own tailgate....

yeah, those have been on the net for quite a while. i hate the look of the Platinum Edition, which is the uppermost above the Lariat and King Ranch. it's the top pic. i really like the FX4, though (blue one), it looks really good.

i don't know who you're referring to. i dogged on the tundra's tailgate for folding, not looking bad. as in, the tailgate collapses under load. the tailgate of the tundra is actually one of the better styled pieces IMO.

but yeah, the FX4 is really the only one i like in the pics, but i'll reserve final judgement till i see one in person. some vehicles just aren't photogenic. like the new Sequoia for example: ugly as hell in pics, but not too bad in person.

I think it looks good. The Platinum Edition borders on garish, and pretty much renders the Mark LT useless IMO. But I like the overall design. It'll be interesting to see how they'll design the Raptor (or a future Lightning....) with this new body style.

I like the FX4 the most. One thing I did not like about the new F150 is the ricer tail lights. Do they need to do this on every new vehicle(Fusion,Taurus,Flex,Edge,Focus)?

honestly, i don't the taillights look bad on the truck. i think they look better than just plain red plastic would.

The truck is quite handsome in person. I have some pictures that I'll post from the autoshow.

I think they should be different with the trim levels. Like, FX4 could have the chrome trim, XL and XLT could have plain plastic, and the top of the line trucks could have brushed aluminum trim.

yeah, that's a good idea. i'd put the brushed aluminum on the FX4, though and the chrome on the Platinum since it already has chrome... brushed and chrome together kind of clash.

sorry to say it but i feel like the rear with those"euro tails" makes the truck look like a honda ridgeline, the front with the flat black grill looks decent although im not really feeling the shape of the front headlight, i really dont think a raptor version of this truck will look good, i think the other model of the f150 with the raptor kit will look pretty good, although those pictures make no sense contradicting with the report on the actual truck....i just want to know the real story on the truck...

The raptor you see on the spy shots is a current body F150. It's a mule. It will be made as the new body style. It would just get a lot more attention if they were to use the new sheetmetal in contrast to the old one.

yeah well this new body and the raptor kit still dont sound good the current f150 body with the raptor look pretty good, but like i said that mule contradicts itself thats why i dont really think thats the actual mule shot...looks more like someones f150 in which they got fiberglass and had it painted but hey what do i know about offroad trucks right..

Manufacturers have used odd things for testing mules before. Plus its a mule. It doesn't have to look perfect.

yeah like the mules for the new NSX... they are using a stretched S2K. the Raptor mule is all new under with body panels from the current body style. basically they just put different body panels on an voila! 2009 F-150 Raptor!
