Well not a whole lot but its got more than it had before. I bought myself a cold air intake. Not going to go too crazy on this car but wanted a little more power, better throttle response and maybe some increased fuel economy. Will see if the latter happens.
Took my handy dandy Canon out and snapped some pics of the install.
Was excited to get this box from the FedEx man. He always brings presents.

Fired up the Remington heater for the garage. Was 42 degrees when I turn it on. About an hour and fifteen later, it was 65.
Powered by kerosene. Contributing to the global warming.

That beastly throttle body.

The MAF or mass airflow sensor. Its job is to measure the amount of air coming into the engine so the computer can meter the correct amount of fuel for the condition.

You can see the sensitive strip in this crappy picture.

Here is whats going in all laid out.

Ta da, its in. Yes, that is duct tape you see there. I had an issue with the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) hose and the hose wouldn't fit. I have a new one coming tomorrow.

Here is view of the filter in the fender well. Wasn't easy getting it in.

This is the stock intake system. Bulky for sure.

Fear the whole 155-160 hp the 3.8 has now!

Impression after the install.
Fitment is great minus the PCV hose. Made out of quality materials. First thing I noticed was that there was a nice improvement in throttle response. Lot better than before. I shut off the radio and fan to listen for any apparent leaks and you can hear it sucking in the air. Thats cool. Getting out on the onramp and putting the pedal to the floor and there is a noticeable increase in power. Overall quite happy with my purchase.
