Hi everyone! It's been a while since I posted here, but I hope that this is worthy enough.
Upon reading autoblog's post about the Mito being unlikely to reach American shores with the claim that it is unlikely to meet the expectations of the average American customer, I felt the urge to do what artandcolour did when he spread the Chrysler malady all over the Nissan GT-R. What I did was a rushed chop and I could've done better brushing and gone the whole nine yards by adding probably lots of old Pontiac-esque body cladding, black plastic everything, etc.
I intended to add a chin to go along with the smile, but I don't have that much time and the only working mouse I've got at the moment is a fairly old and temperamental one.
"Car companies are often criticized nowadays for lacking character in their designs. Our exclusive chin not only makes the car look like it has grown a manly jaw, but it doubles as a snow plow and a safety device keeping reckless drivers away from your car's body panels."
Another part of the press release would go along the lines of:
"Our car features the most effective passive safety device of the whole industry. Its appearance guarantees that not only people won't want to steal it, but the embarrassment of stealing and driving it would provide a punishment for the burglar that no penitentiary system has been able to give in the history of humanity. It makes you not fear of crashing it as you will blindly hope that you will somehow reshape it into a better looking abomination. Your reckless driving will be enhanced by the fear its looks will inspire in other drivers and pedestrians. The greatest advantage of this feature is that your children will not have to deal with unwanted early pregnancies as they will have no friends other than this wart with wheels."
Here is what I think Chrysler would want you to drive. Take away many curves that give it character and make the car smile. Don't forget the mandatory hood wrinkles.
Of course Chrysler thought that naming the car with the distant Milano and Torino cities was selfish and very un-American. Therefore, in order to make every customer feel as if they were really taken into account when this magnificent piece of engineering was designed, it has been renamed the MyTown.
