Can't say it will be missed a ton. Very few people order the stick shift.

No more stick for you

If they do indeed drop it, the last hold over would be Dodge.

I say booo to ford. I am willing to bet that alot of the heavy use construction trucks will make the switch to dodge simply because of the tranny. The average joe look at me customer doesnt buy the manual tranny, but someone who really buys the truck to work and tow will opt for the manual.

I don't know. I see lots of utility trucks with autos. I hardly ever see any with manual tranny. I see construction trucks all the time.

Yes it is. Unfortunately not many people and companies are getting them. I guess it is because like that more people are able to drive the trucks.

i know, but in cars, they are making more effiecient sequential trannys that actually shift faster then your standard manuals...but like i said i like having a manual in a big dualie..

Some people over at VW Vortex (I know, not the most trustworthy site for info) talked about it a while ago when they first came out. Some were saying they don't handle the power as well but Abt came out with a 370 hp R32 equipped with DSG so it must be able to handle the power. If not, there is a $5k transmission you need to buy frequently.

?? my buddy had a r32 with 400hp on the dsg and didnt havea single issue with it...if you ever have driven a car with dsg, you would know the shift points are amazing, and smooth, i have never heard of a sequential tranny being bad unless it was the SMG from bmw..other then that never heard of any issues...

then again i dont see many people buying dualies to bring them to the track where that stuff matters, only towing is where it matters..
