It's probably one of the better ways to make a splash in the truck arena at this point for Dodge.
I still don't understand why Diesel Electric hybrids aren't finding their way into mainstream trucks. I mean they offer heaps of TQ and I only see them used in commercial sectors. They just supply power more consistently.
Ford was developing a Hydraulic Hybrid since 2005ish .. they recently halted the project, but they do have plans for it to still come to market. Initially, they claimed it would be 400% more efficient than a Prius and achieve 60 mpg. But after much development in the Expedition, Ford said 30+ mpg was certainly attainable.
Well, considering size and weight it would be more efficient. Comparing straight mpg probably not. I wondered what they were doing with that. I had heard of the Expeditions getting like 37mpg with that system. I thought you were talking about a Gas Electric hybrid.
