Wow ... I am about to share to you a very shocking story, and sums up pretty well how poorly the current administration is operating as a unit

Recently, several million stimulus checks were printed, $250 each. There was a story on the news of a woman down south who received more than one stimulus check in the mail. One, addressed to her, and the other to her father. Note: her father has been dead and gone for over 30 years!!!!

It turns out the there have been an estimated 15,000 checks sent to dead people! I'm sorry, but this is inexcusable. This is OUR money that the government just thinks they can print and mail out to people who further cease to exist!

Furthermore, thank God our Senate is still full of people with skulls. Obama asked for $89 million to "close" Guantanamo Bay prison. Lol, well if you do any reading, you know he's not closing it. The location may move and it will be called something else. The biggest change will be the way the prison for these people is run. It will be a much less strict program as a whole, more freedom and civil liberties to some detainees who actually have no right, seeing that many are not even US citizens. The legislation was voted on ... NO 90- 6.

$89 million to put up some chains, a padlock, and a sign??? Come on Obama .. enough is enough. Quit misleading people and tell the complete and full truth. It's not just Obama, it's his entire administration that is utterly driving this country straight to hell. If they get a second term, I will be utterly shocked.

CBS is owned by democrats, so how is it any different when people quote them? Why not quote Fox? At least they will report on the things that the dems don't wont people to know. Really, why would CBS point out the mistakes of the Obama administration? Same reason Fox doesn't point out the mistakes of the Bush admin .. it's not bias at all .. it's MEDIA!!! It's all corrupt.

Yes, he created the program, but this mistake is the fault of whoever is running the operation. I guarantee you Obama isn't doing the data entry for who's getting checks, that is not his fault at all.

Yea I'm with Tex, the dead man mail thing has been going on for ages. It has nothing to do with Obama, Bush, Clinton, or any president. The organizations that run the programs and the accountability of dead people seems to be very un-unified. I mean plenty of mail for government programs get sent to deceased people, even voting registration...

I couldn't agree with you more. That's why I specifically stated that the new administration as a whole unit is operating poorly, including the Social Security sector, as it turns out. This is a fine example of one specific entity of the US government that is being poorly led and operated. It needs to change.

I don't blame Obama for all of these checks going out to dead people; however, I do believe that as our president and the leader of this country, I do believe it has now become his responsibility to take action ont he issue. If this is a reocurring issue like AJ stated and he is truly devoted to changing Washington, then he needs to see to it that this doesn't happen again.

Looking at this in retroscpect, those checks are only a very small fraction of the total Social Security money that was mailed out. Regardless, it's still the money of the tax payer and should be used and spent responsibly, as opposed to carelesly as it was in this instance.
