if you scroll through the gallery, the proportions of the new 7 look really hot to me! i think
it's going to be a million times better looking than the current one, facelifted or original.

From what I can make out, it looks to have a tauter appearance than the current model. The current 7 just looks big and floaty and soggy. This new one has a more athletic, muscular stance. It will be nice, but I wish it looked a little more like the CS Concept.

They Banglized the hood. It looks like a truck. I like the low long hood of my '88 7 series the best.

Barry is right; it does look like a truck. I don't like it one bit.

IMO, they could've just put the CS concept into production and sold a million. It was low and sleek and sporty...mean and aggressive. This just looks...blocky and boring.

That's a big old pile of meh.

Granted "meh" is better than the "Eeeugh" reaction the current 7 gets but it's still just "meh".

I'll admit BMWs have not been known for flashy styling for quite some time, but there is a simple elegance to the designs of the 80s and 90s that's lost on the Bangle-era cars.

Agreed. Bangle Butt turned into Bangle Butt-ugly. I hate the Z-4. Flame sides, my ass.

the reason i think this new version is going to be better looking, is it's 'debangling' in shape... it seems much more tailored and less fat
than the currect 5,6 or 7. i think flame surfacing has come and gone-the bodysides look much flatter to me. we'll see!

To me it looks fatter, not flatter. It's not what I think of when I think, "7-series".

It seems that all of the cars from europe have that truck look in the front due to the crash standards over there. Its hard to make it look sleek that way. Hopefully they will clean the rear end up of the fussy details.
