I entered my 280Z in a local car show last Sunday that's held along the Kirkland waterfront and thought I'd share a few photos. It's one of my favorite shows.
I decided I'd pull it out of the garage from sitting under it's car cover to detail it and make sure it was clean as it's been sitting for quite a while. When I fired it up, it had bad misfire. I thought that it was maybe a bad connection on one of the EFI sensors or switches, but on the other hand I would've been surprised if it was as I've replaced all of those parts and connectors with new ones. I pulled all the connectors and cleaned them, and still found it to run the same. I finally pulled the distributor cap and found a crack in the bottom of it. Must of obviously happened when it was sitting because it ran fine before. Not sure how it happend, but was glad it was something simple.
I also put a for sale sign on it to see what kind of attention it would bring. It brought a little more that I thought that it would because of the way the economy is, but not sure if the folks who said they were going to call me will or not. Any how, it's listed on a few different Z sites so I'll probably leave it there over the winter and see what happens as my dad said he'd show it to anybody who was interested while I am down in California for College.
Very cool. Was it mostly American Muscle? Your car kinda looks like the odd one out, lol. Still looks great. Why are you trying to sell it? I'm thinking there must be a reason as this is the worst time to sell unless you absolutely have to.

Yeah, most of the local car show's around here are just Amercian hot rods, muscle cars and 57 Chevy's, so whenever I put my classic Japenese sports car in one, it does stick out and look kind of funny compared to the rest as it doesn't really fit in. I've always kind of thought that too, but still fun anyways.
Basically I'm saving up for a truck and I figure if this were to sell, I'd be able to aquire one a lot quicker. I've got it listed for what it's worth, so I don't expect it to sell anytime soon do the poor economy and I'm not going to just give it a way for a couple of thousand dollars just to get rid of it by any means. I'd like to still be able to keep it and a get a truck, but I'm just kind of seeing what would happen leaving on the market for what it's worth for a while, but again probably don't expect it to sell because of the economy the way it is.
I think you might regret selling the Z though. I remember when my dad sold his Camaros mostly just because he thought they were impractical, but he loved to drive them and I remember afterwords he regretted it and then was too stingy to buy a new sports car, but always wanted to, even though he could afford it. So think about it man!
