OH YES IT IS... hahaha. the new Aztek. mashed up with the other recent beauty the Acura ZDX..... i just had to do one final Pontiac...
this is the Mercury Lynx..... based on a stretched Fiesta, more the size of a Focus. would be a hybrid, as all new Mercurys would be under A&C rule...
this would be Mercury's entry level 5 door Hybrid, the Comet. photo base was the euro-only Toyota Avensis, the platform of the new Lexus HS250h (right name?).
this would be a Milan-sized luxury hybrid coupe, the new San Marino. i was thinking along the clean lines of the original '67 Cougar XR-7 for this. base photo was a Citroen C5 saloon from 2008.
i've been super busy with production work on literally dozens of books in the past few months. good for me, not so good for chopping. also really into riding my bike these days. i've been doing 1-2-and even 3 hour rides around the shoreline, besides my daily rides to do chores/errands. not bad for 52...
I have to agree, the aztek is a lost cause, the idea was good, the styling HORRID, nothing should remind us of the Aztek, unless you wanted to put it first so we had a bitter thought in our head and then showed us the rest of these really nice concepts.
I really like the Lynx, makes me think a bit of the Cougar, one of the few Mercs I liked. The San Marino looks great. Just not sure how America really feels about wagons still, they seem kinda stuck on CUVs and SUVs when it comes to wagons like cars. Don't know why wagons aren't perceived as well as the raised up version of wagons like the CUVs...
