Well, I sold the Z. I convinced myself as much as I have enjoyed owning, fixing up and taking care of it that it was time to move on as I have really been wanting to get a truck. I listed it on Ebay last week and the auction ended Friday morning. It actually did pretty well, it sold for more than what I was originally listing it for, so I'm happy for what it went for. The new owner lives locally which I thought was kind of cool as I might see it around every now and then. He picked it up Saturday morning. I'm really glad that I was not there to see it go, I would have not been able to handle it.
Quote: AJ Wow, sure was a beauty. What truck are you going to get? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get it for?
I'd like to find a 2001-2004 style Tacoma. Won't be looking looking though (well seriously anyway) until I come home in December because I don't want to go through the hassel of getting my GTI registered here in California if I were to sell it here because it doesn't have the Cal smog equipment on it.
Quote: AJ Sounds like you sold it for a pretty penny! Are you just looking for regular truck use or are you going to go prerunner/4x4 stuff?
Yeah, mainly just for regular truck use. I've never owned a truck before and I really like the Tacoma's, so that's mainly why. I like the prerunners a lot and there seems to be more out there almost than the 4x4's (especially here in SoCal), but one of the main reasons I want a truck is to have the 4x4, so I don't think I'm going to go the prerunner route. It's pretty crazy how much the Tacoma's hold they're value, even with over 100K plus miles, they are easily in the low to mid teens depending on the year.
