As if it is already ridiculously fast enough, weight is expected to drop by 300 lbs and receive a bump in power though rumors are a bit optimistic in the 550-600 range. Its going to receive a splitter and a carbon fiber wing and likely some suspension upgrades. It already does 191 mph, hits 60 in 3.3 and runs the quarter in 11.5 @ 124 with 480 hp, albeit underrated, and pulls nearly 1 g on the skidpad. Next thing you know, a Nissan will be running with the Veyron and out-cornering race cars.
i doubt that... not too many cobalt ss owners traded in for the Z06 when it came out and that's about the same price difference. the GT-R V-Spec is supposed to be into 6 figures easily plus dealer mark up.
I gotta say the new GTR is not the prettiest, but dammit i saw one testing out at the streets of willow with my good friend who does marketing work for both toyota and nissan...that car never seizes to amaze me. IMO Vettes and porsches are going to be seeing alot of nissan badges in there mirrors...this car just keeps getting better and better.
Witnesses are reporting the V-Spec ran the ring in 7:25... have to say that I doubt it... you don't update the suspension, and boost power slightly and run the ring 13 seconds faster.
Actually, I think gaining 13 seconds on a track that big is possible with the upgrades its getting. With better handling and even faster acceleration, the Spec V will just keep getting further and further away.
Hey you know that guy on SVTP that has a candy apple red Ford GT with ghost flames and a custom interior? I saw his car at the Homestead-Miami speedway last year. Got a picture of it on my phone.
