That would be a smart move by ford if they keep the ranger around for a while. If it is the second best selling midsized it is doing something right and there is no need to kill it off needlessly
On another note: Why the FUCK are side impact air bags required? Make them a pricey option and let the buyer decide whether or not he needs them, cars are too damn expensive.
They're required because they're proven to decreas injury levels in a side impact. The Ranger needs to go away. Sales are slumping month by month. I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a new Ranger on the road. It's been months. One of our dealers still has 2007's on the lot.
actually the ranger is selling pretty well at the moment. it the article it's number 2 in sales to the tacoma, i'd love to have a 4 cylinder 5 speed ranger right now.
Well being around more people that buy small midsize trucks then anyone on here, i would say a smart move for ford would be to bring the 4 door ranger here, along with a more powerful 4.0...
O and by the way on monday i entered a event called tuff trucks, its a local truck event at our county fair...I was my buddy tylers copilot in his fully built ranger for the event.. il host some pictures tonight :)

I think a 3 valve 4.6 would be a great addition, too..... No such thing as too much power in a little pickup
