I needed to go and get a window motor for our buick today was a good day since it's been a couple days without rain, but I was a bit surprised what I saw at the junk yard, lol. Pictures say it all.





As you can see some of the cars were almost fully submerged, and all the cars are on like 2 foot stands. The ground isn't permeable and the drain was backed up. Luckily the car I was looking for was dry and at the higher part of the yard.

i love automobile junkyards! i can't think of one that's still in existence around here though. when i was a kid there were several, but they've all been closed.

really? Here they've opened a second one about 3 years ago I think. If you look at my albums I think I have more pics from junk yards. THere are a lot of JYs around here.

That's nuts! Looks like they're floating in it. Yeah, California has sure seen a lot of rain lately to say the leaste.

Yea and I kinda don't like it since if we get TOO much rain then that means we'll have a huge fire season in the summer....
